Calligraphy Workshops

At this relaxing calligraphy class you’ll learn about the key materials and skills needed to create beautiful hand lettering with a dip pen and ink. After learning how the pointed pen works, you’ll practice making the fundamental strokes then use them to form letters and words in a modern calligraphy style, giving you a strong foundation to build on. You’ll also make some gift tags to take home featuring your new skill. Located in the centre of Wells close to all the shops, cafes and sights if you want to make a day of it.

 

This workshop’s ideal if you want to create your own stationery or hand-lettered home décor, or are looking for a creative and relaxing hobby. If you’ve taken the Introductory or Brush Pen class then this lesson is the perfect follow-on to expand your skills.

 

Suitable for complete beginners and those wanting a refresher. All materials and light refreshments are included. You’ll get to take away a PDF of the worksheets we use so you can practice your new skills over and over again.
