Mixed media painting and drawing workshops with Heather Wallace
Heather is the founder of Heritage Courtyard Gallery and Studios and offers wide experience in both teaching and practicing fine art over many years. Her workshops are informal, encouraging and her gentle instruction is a real boost for students of all abilities.
FROM SKETCHBOOK TO PAINTING
WITH HEATHER WALLACE
Thursday 18th June
At 10.30am - 4.00pm
£65 for the day
An experimental workshop with Heather Wallace aimed at developing a landscape painting from your notes, photographs and sketches.
We will start the day by taking our sketch pads out into the surrounding landscape, making colour and line sketches, taking photos and making notes, to help us develop an idea for a finished painting in the afternoon.
Back in the studio we will use our collection of sketchpad information to develop our paintings. By using experimental mark making and materials, Heather will guide you through the process to help you create a dramatic response to the Wells landscape, that invokes a sense of place.
All materials are included, plus tea/coffee and biscuits
Canvas boards will be available to buy.
Please bring your own sketch pads and any favourite pencils, for the morning sketching.
