Gail's work is primarily concerned with the positive impact of colour on the senses. She explores the 'emotional landscape' and our journeys within it. She uses screenprint techniques to produce large 'one off' images, together with editioned work in a variety of media.
The images are characterised by strong use of colour and abstracted forms from the natural world. They often include automatic mirror writing.
Current monotype work is painterly and uses a variety of formats, there is more emphasis on the literal landscape. The editions show an investigation into vibrant flat colour, form, mark making and stillness.
These prints have been described as 'joyful arresting and peaceful.'
