FRED GORDON

Award winning young British sculptor Fred Gordon is delivering the first in Heritage Courtyard’s series of “In Conversation with” events on Thursday 2nd July.

 

Fred is passionate about wildlife, conservation and the natural world. With minimal formal training, Fred has learnt through combined experience and total commitment. With an acute sense of observation, instinctive approach and striking ability, he captures a real sense of spirit, movement and energy in his work. Fred has travelled widely to study his subjects firsthand in their natural environment, drawing his subjects from the British countryside and experiences further afield

Guests will be able to hear about Fred’s technique, see him demonstrate the use of foundry casting wax and enjoy complimentary refreshments and lively chat. Examples of Fred’s sculptural work will be on show for the event, allowing guests to see how he captures a moment, a nuance in the movement and an instinctive sense of character in the pose as well as greater intricacy in the details and the faces.
