HEATHER WALLACE
Heather is the founder of Heritage Courtyard Gallery and Studios and offers a wealth of experience in both teaching and practicing fine art over many years. Her workshops are informal, encouraging and her gentle instruction is a real boost for students of all abilities.

A "back to basics" PORTRAIT workshop with Heather Wallace
10.30am - 3.30pm
If you haven’t picked up a pencil or paint brush for a while and just don’t know where to start with drawing a portrait. Or even if you just long to ‘have a try’ at portraits, this is the workshop for you!
Heather will guide you with some basic drawing skills. She will demonstrate how to begin, using measuring and observation skills. She will also demonstrate shading to create a tonal portrait with a three dimensional appearance.
We will be drawing in the first half of the day. In the afternoon you can choose to stay with just drawing or you can try adding paint. Heather will demonstrate how to mix colours to make flesh tones.
No need to bring materials, all will be provided.
