WORKING FROM LIFE

£65 for an individual workshop or £120 for both.

Two workshops to improve your life painting skills

The first workshop with Heather will concentrate on portraiture beginning with some drawing to free up your mark making skills. Then working from the life model, Heather will demonstrate how to mix a range of subtle tones and shades inspired by the paintings of Gwen John (TOP) an exhibition of her work is now showing at the Holburne Gallery in Bath.

The second workshop on 28th February will be concentrating once more on working from the life model. This time focussing on painting the whole figure, who will be clothed. We will be looking at the works of Henri Matisse (BOTTOM) for inspiration, with colour and pattern involved in the composition.

Acrylic paint, easels, paper, drawing boards and materials, will be provided. If you have favourite brushes or oil paints you would prefer to work with, then do bring them along. Oil boards and/or canvas will be available to buy.

Each workshop starts at 10.30 - 3.30pm

Please arrive 15 minutes before the start. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided.
