Heather Wallace

Heather taught for many years before studying for her MA in fine Art Painting and Print making at London City and Guilds.  She is the founder of Heritage Courtyard Gallery and Studios and now runs it along side Co-director Rebecca Barnard.

 

The starting point for her work is always based on observation and there is more often than not a suggestion of narrative within the frame. This reflects her love of the English Conversation piece, which is often at the root of her more satirical pieces.

 

Heather offers the viewer works which contemplate and question our concepts of personal identity, while engaging us with traces of historical reference within the expressive, painterly surface.
